Page One Bookkeeper Job Description
The Page One bookkeeper oversees financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Daily tasks will include monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. Bookkeeper will also assist in basic HR duties such as new hire documents, compliance, and temporary disability insurance and workers’ compensation filings.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of IFRS, U.S GAAP, or another accounting framework
- Data entry skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- Knowledge of AccountEdge (not required, but a plus)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Update and maintain the general ledger
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes
- Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA is a plus
- Previous bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
